Chapter 3: Video Delivery

This week, you will work through the speechmaking process for your first formal speech by creating and delivering a Me Speech. This first speech will be recorded, a skill that in today’s world is necessary for many professions. I cannot tell you how many videos I need to record for my classes during the course of the semester. There are many things to think about as you are preparing to deliver and record your speech. How can I set myself up for successful delivery? What camera angle is the best? How can I use lighting effectively? What should my background look like? How can I create a professional looking video without professional equipment? Those questions and more will be answered in this chapter.
