When you click NEXT, you will find the outline template.  Make a copy and start writing!

There is some sample content included to show you what your outline should look like.

Remember, you will only write the outline for this paper, not the essay. And where there are blanks in the example outline, you will need to fill it in so that your outline is complete.

This is a work in progress, so although it needs to be complete for this assignment, you will revisit this outline during the research process and update and change it as needed. You can change as much of it as possible after this version is submitted, as long as you don’t change the topic.  You can change sides on the issue. This is a living document. This assignment is to prove that you understand the type of paper you will eventually write and to give you a starting point. The better you do on the outline, the easier it will be to write the final paper.

Your work should be done in MLA format.  This is the beginning of your position argument essay.  Your outline will always be included.
