See It Across the Disciplines
Knowing how to write with a descriptive style is going to help you with many essay types in many disciplines. Being able to add details that appeal to the senses of your readers and being able to show your readers, instead of just telling them something, will make you a stronger writer.
Below, you’ll see a sample essay, submitted in APA 7th edition format, from a business course where students were asked to write about a major company in the United States. This assignment was not described as a descriptive essay, but key elements of the descriptive style have been noted for you.
