¡Vamos a escribir!      ¿Cómo celebraste tu último cumpleaños?

Write a composition in Spanish (minimum of 150 words) comparing how you celebrated your last birthday and how you used to celebrate it when you were a kid.

Guidelines:

I. First paragraph.  Narrate what you did on your last birthday.

You can use the following questions to help you: ¿Qué hiciste? ¿A dónde fuiste? ¿Con quién? ¿Tuviste una fiesta? ¿Qué te regalaron? ¿Lo pasaste bien?

Include:

• At least  (8) verbs in the preterite (see capítulos 6 and 7)

II. Second paragraph. In comparison, describe how you USED to celebrate your birthday as a kid.

Include:

• At least  (6) verbs in the imperfect  (see capítulo 9)

III. This composition needs to have a title, be typed, double-spaced, size 12 using Word, and be uploaded in Canvas.

Each composition will have a first draft (60%) and a final version (40%) based on the recommendations and revisions made by the instructor.

Note: Por favor, don’t use the word PARTIDO to express “party” in Spanish…… partido means party, but in the political sense…  You can use the following words: FIESTA o CELEBRACIÓN

Yo CELEBRÉ mi último cumpleaños en Colombia con mi familia. Cumplí cincuenta y pico (fifty something)  años y TUVE una fiesta. Mi tía PREPARÓ arroz a la valenciana y ensalada de papa. BEBIMOS vino y refrescos. ME DIERON varios regalos (o RECIBÍ muchos regalos)…También HUBO música y BAILAMOS toda la noche….etc…. LA PASÉ muy bien en mi cumpleaños porque estuve con mi familia.

En comparación cuando yo ERA niña, no TENÍA fiesta de cumpleaños, pero mi abuela PREPARABA una comida especial y mi tía HACÍA el pastel. No RECIBÍA regalos pero no ME IMPORTABA porque PASABA el tiempo con mis primos jugando afuera.
