MAO Pedagogical Tools for In-person CIS 133

Multiple Attendance Option

I allowed students to attend in any way they wished, and to change their attendance from week to week if necessary. The first week, before they knew they didn’t have to be in-person, we walked through all the different ways one could attend, and how to do it.

Description

My class was meant to be a lecture experience no matter what attendance option the student chose to use. While this approach is not without much merit, I wonder if the presentation could have been different for the asynchronous students. If I were to spend time giving a 20-minute presentation on video that was just me and my slides & demonstrations (in addition to the recorded lecture), I wonder if these students might not have a better experience.
