Your Education…Your Story

  • Am I ready for college?Text-What's Your Story written on a chalkboard
  • Why did I decide to go to college?
  • Is it the right place for me?
  • Am I excited to meet new people?
  • Am I nervous about the challenges?
  • Am I ready to make decisions about my future?
  • Am I worried about choosing my career?
  • Am I concerned with time management, debt, health, stress, choosing a major, relationships, motivation, academics, homesickness, studying, finding a job, test anxiety, and life balance?
  • What’s my purpose?

Starting college can be a time filled with many questions and emotions all at once! And that is very normal.

So, why do you have to take this course? MCC believes that taking this course will help you succeed in college and beyond. As such, we have created this book and course to give you the best information about making the transition to college a little easier.

Change requires you to stretch and learn through challenging situations. You’ll need to figure out how to get through those situations. This will come with some adversity.  Achieving greatness requires us to experience some uncertainty, doubt, and self-reflection.

The great news is that if you have purpose, strategies, and resources, you will be more resilient, and even become stronger in the process! Our course has been designed with that at the forefront. You will learn about college resources, connect with students, staff and faculty, examine your goals and values, explore career choices, understand school/life/ work balance, financial planning information, and most importantly, discover more about who you are.

We welcome you and are here to support your educational journey and success!
