4 Using Example Papers Provided or Found in Research

For students that are really struggling to determine the structure of their paper, it may be helpful to use example papers to generate ideas. While their paper must contain their own research and thoughts it can be helpful to look at papers that the professor believes to be well written and study the format. In most cases, the student may be able to use a similar format for their own paper. This will also make the planning of the paper much easier as the student will have a finished product to compare to their own work or ideas. Students can often find examples from their professors or in their research. If a student comes across an article that they believe has an exceptional flow and format, they should lock away some ideas regarding their own paper.
