If the podcast is from an app, include that information in the works cited entry. If the podcast is from a website, like the second example below, include the URL.

Host or Narrator. “Title of Episode.” Name of Podcast, Other Contributors, season #, episode #, Publisher, Date of Publication, App or URL.

Personal Interview

For unpublished personal interviews, MLA treats the person interviewed as the author. Include a title for the interview. If there is no title, write “Interview” (with no quotation marks).

Author (the person being interviewed). Title of interview. Date of Interview.

Snyder, Timothy. Telephone interview. 4 May 2024.

Email

The author is the person writing the email, and the title describes where the email was sent. If the email was sent directly to you, use the phrase ‘Email to the author.’ as the title. Then, add the date of the communication.

Author (the person sending the email). Title of the email. Date of communication.

Germain, Cameron. E-mail to Allison Ryan. 5 Apr. 2025.

Poetry Reading
