One Author

In general, in-text citations require the author’s last name and the page number when available. There are multiple correct ways to do this when you have one author:

One author in-text citation:

in text citation one author format
in text citation one author in parenthesis example

 

One author, in-text citation with the author included in the sentence:

in text one author page only format

in text citation one author page only example

 

If citing two sources in a single sentence, each with one author, use a semi-colon to separate the two sources:

in text citation example with multiple sources with one author format

in text citation example with multiple sources with one author example
