Building Bridges: Supporting Student Learning in Calculus
April Strom
Executive Summary
The goal of the Building Bridges: Supporting Student Learning in Calculus project was to create 10 instructional videos, with wrap-around narrative, for Calculus 1 and Calculus 2 that can be used to support students in all online, hybrid, and in-person courses at Chandler-Gilbert CC. This project extends the previous work in creating exceptional instructional videos that began in 2019. After all videos were uploaded on YouTube, they were then embedded in Google Slides with wrap-around narrative to introduce and extend relevant mathematical content. The Google Slides were then embedded into our Canvas Calculus 1-2 course shells so that all Calculus 1-2 instructors (including adjunct faculty) can copy over to their course(s) and use with all of their students.
