Executive Summary
This project remixes two current OER introductory chemistry books (Beginning Chemistry by Ball, LibreTexts; and CHM 151: Preparatory General Chemistry OER by College of the Canyons, LibreTexts) and incorporates new interactive practice problems to align with our Maricopa competencies and to supplement and assess learning. Further, instructional videos from various content creators, including YouTube videos from “Professor Dave”, “Robin Reaction”, “Melissa Maribel”, “Tyler DeWitt”, and others, along with Khan Academy videos. A Canvas course shell incorporating this text is under construction and will feature additional interactive content, including PhET simulations, a quiz bank for each course module, and additional video support.
