C5: Use -d or -ed Endings When Appropriate: A common error is to omit the -d or -ed ending on verbs.  Recognize when they are needed.

Past Tense:

John asked if he could take vacation time next week.

The Beatles had played in that arena twice.

He could have afforded to buy a suit after that job.

Passive Voice:

The garden was tended by Joshua.

I am excited by your presence.

The helicopters are serviced by highly trained professionals.
